授業概略と目的
/Cource Description and Objectives
By completing this class, students will be able to:
1) Discuss and explain theories of diversity in the classroom (ethnicity, gender, and individual differences)
2) Identify best practices for an inclusive classroom
3) Demonstrate through role-play and small group discussion how to support students with diverse needs.

/Prerequisites and Keywords
In principle, this class is conducted in English with Japanese support. Students should have already passed ELP1-4 and the first year of classes in 子ども学科。
履修上の注意
/Notes
This is a practice class and is conducted by an instructor with experience working in multi-cultural settings in the United States and Japan.

The class in principle will be conducted face-to-face. However, if, necessary, the class might be shifted to online (real-time or on demand).

Classroom activities will include small group discussions, role-play, and presentations.
